Everything you need to know about Elden Ring Nightreign’s returning Everdark Sovereign, including the schedule and details on future content.

FromSoftware has finally revealed the plans for the future Everdark Sovereign Expeditions that will be coming to Elden Ring Nightreign. And, surprisingly enough, there are some major changes to the structure of these new Expeditions compared to their initial rollout. The Everdark Sovereigns are essentially special Expeditions that were added as part of the post-release roadmap for Elden Ring Nighreign. These Expeditions are structurally similar to the base game variants. However, the biggest difference lies in the Nightlord you get to fight at the end of the Expedition.
The Everdark Sovereign Expeditions are essentially home to the enhanced versions of the base game Nightlords. And with the final Everdark Sovereign coming to an end, FromSoftware has revealed a roadmap of what players can expect for the future of Elden Ring Nightreign. Here’s everything you need to know about Elden Ring Nightreign’s returning Everdark Sovereigns.

Currently, the Enhanced Sentient Pest‘s Everdark Sovereign is live in Elden Ring Nightreign. However, it’s only available till July 10, 2025. After that, the game will see the return of the previous two Everdark Nightlords, i.e., Gaping Jaw and Darkdrift Knight. Instead of just one Expedition, the weekly reset will make two Everdark Sovereigns available to players.
Following that will be another reset that will bring back Everdark Sentient Pest and retain Darkdrift Knight. The final weekly reset will include Everdark Sentient Pest and Gaping Jaw. Suffice it to say, if you did not get a chance to fight any of these enhanced Nightlords, there’s going to be plenty of time to do so. Here’s a rundown of the upcoming Everdark Sovereign Expeditions:
- July 10, 2025 to July 17, 2025 – Gaping Jaw and Darkdrift Knight
- July 17, 2025 to July 24, 2025 – Sentient Pest and Darkdrift Knight
- July 24, 2025 to July 31, 2025 – Gaping Jaw and Sentient Pest
Future Everdark Sovereigns Coming to Elden Ring Nightreign

Apart from the existing Everdark Expeditions, FromSoftware has confirmed that more are planned for the future. The next title update for the game will add Everdark Sovereign for Tricephalos, Augur, Equilibrious Beast, and Fissue in the Fog. Surprisingly enough, there’s no official word from FromSoftware about Everdark Night Aspect (final boss). This might mean that the Everdark variant of Heolstor isn’t currently in the cards for Nightreign, and perhaps it’s something FromSoftware is planning to deliver with the DLC for the game.
