Ghost of Yotei introduces a unique Clue System, allowing players to track the different quests and adventures using Clue Cards.
During the Ghost of Yotei July 2025 State of Play, Sony and Sucker Punch Productions unveiled several exciting things about the upcoming title. Creative Directors Jason Connel and Nate Fox showcased a range of enhancements and new features introduced in the Ghost of Tsushima’s sequel.
Alongside the returning modes like Photo Mode and Kurosawa Mode, the game also introduces several new mechanics, one of the most intriguing being the Clue System.
The new mechanics sparked curiosity among the players, making them wonder how it plays out. Although not disclosed in detail, the showcase revealed a few key points about the Clue System and the significance of Clue Cards. How the Clue System Works in Ghost of Yotei?
As you journey through the diverse landscapes of Ezo, you will discover various clues that lead to new possibilities. Investigating these clues can lead you to new areas and adventures that could benefit you.
After defeating an enemy, you can interrogate them to investigate the clues. You can choose to ask questions about the members of the Yotei Six, such as The Oni or The Kitsune. For each member, you will unlock new areas as well as weapons. For instance, questioning an enemy about The Oni leads you to a landscape scorched by fire, while asking about The Kitsune sends you to snow lands.
Different regions feature unique enemy types, requiring players to adapt their fighting techniques. Following the clue brings you closer to the members of Yotei Six, while also unlocking new skills and weapons.
Atsu draws cards for each clue and adds the quest or task to the map. You will find each clue marked as a Clue Card on the map. This allows you to keep track of all available adventures and investigations. As you dive deeper, you will collect more clues, which will help you uncover the secrets of Yotei Six.
