After completing all the acts of Diablo 4, you will unlock world bosses, or the whispers of the dead. This is a timed event where world bosses spawn randomly in one of the 6 regions of the game. The world bosses are mid-difficulty but drop legendary loot, and are a major part of the endgame. Three bosses will be available every 3 hours for the latest patch, and around 15 minutes of time is given to eliminate them.

Here are the spawn schedules and locations that will help you track the world bosses for Diablo 4.

Diablo 4 World Bosses will only show up on your map after you complete the campaign, but you can still participate in the event using trackers outside the game. There are no official sources (Blizzard Entertainment) that have yet confirmed the timings of the World Bosses, but the community has taken data from the previous encounters to predict an estimated time period for each boss.

For the latest patch, there will be 3 World Bosses spread around the regions in Diablo 4 that will have a 15-minute window to eliminate the bosses and acquire a grand cache for every boss.

Here are the estimated timings for the Diablo 4 World Bosses:

  • EST- 12:30–2:30 PM
  • EST- 6:30–8:30 PM

Within the times mentioned above, three bosses, Ashava, Wandering Death, and Avarice, will spawn in one of the locations mentioned later. Being an endgame event, the rewards for these world bosses are totally random, whether you get legendary or only rare drops. The world bosses have unique moves and are not difficult with help from other players.

Before the event begins, you will be notified 30 minutes earlier about the World Boss event, but only if you have revealed the fog of war in that map and completed the campaign. Bosses will spawn in a secluded area meant for the world boss event. All these arenas are spread out in all the regions of the game.

For players that have not completed the campaign but still wish to participate, here are all the locations of the World Bosses:

  • The Crucible region in the Fractured Peaks, East of Kyovashad.
  • Khan Adar in Scogslen, North of Korbach.
  • Soran Kaldera in the Dry Steps, South-West of Nostrava, or South-East of the Southern Overlook.
  • Fields of Desecration, South-East of Zarbenzet.
  • Seared Basin in Kehjistan, South-East of Gerande.
