Umbreon ex is a bit of a difficult card to use. Its first move, Moon Mirage, does decent damage while confusing the opponent, while its second move, Onyx, can let you take a Prize card in exchange for discarding all its attached Energy. This makes Umbreon ex a bit of an anti-meta pick.
However, keeping in mind that the meta is dominated by Gardevoir ex, and the fact that Moon Mirage KO’s it from full health, Umbreon ex isn’t an anti-meta pick that should be entirely ignored.

Grass-type decks like those with Toedscruel ex or Teal Mask Ogerpon ex can deal a lot of damage to Umbreon ex. It is also handily walled by Milotic ex.
