Some Diablo 4 players have discovered a particular trick that allows Sorcerers to become truly overpowered. In fact, the trick in question is so OP that it can help Sorcerer’s clear even Pit 150 without breaking into a sweat. And the good news is that you don’t need to rely on a specific unique gear or fancy Masterwork to exploit this neat trick. Still, there are some conditions that you’ll need to meet.
In the following guide, we’ll explore how you can deal infinite damage as a Sorcerer in Diablo 4.
How To Deal Infinite Damage as a Sorcerer in Diablo 4
If you want to exploit this trick and make your Sorcerer build deal massive amounts of damage, the following are some conditions you’ll need to meet.
- You need to be at least level 60.
- As part of Season 9, your character should have the Horadric Spell Infusions.
- You must have the Enlightenment Key passive. This is an ability that triggers when you cast spells dealing different elemental damage one after the other. The Enlightenment Key boosts your Damage, Attack Speed, and Mana Regen.
- You can use either Burning Embers or Thunderous Particle Infusions.
After you have met all of the above-mentioned conditions, you need to follow the steps below to trigger the infinite damage bug.
- Step 1: Equip your chosen Infusion, either Thunderous Particle or Burning Embers.
- Step 2: Slot the Enlightened Key Passive into your talent tree.
- Step 3: Enter the Pit. The level at which you enter won’t matter.
- Step 4: Don’t stop to fight enemies. Instead, run straight for the portal.
- Step 5: Get at least 100 stacks of Enlightened.
- Step 6: Enter the portal. Once the stacks wear off, get them back again and re-enter the portal.
- Step 7: Follow this process as many times as you want to get the desired damage output numbers.
Once you’re happy with how much damage your Sorcerer can deal this way, clear the Pit easily.

How Does the Exploit Work?
Now that you know how you can deal infinite damage as a Sorcerer in Diablo 4, you might know how it works. It seems that for some reason, when you have Enlightenment Key Passive Active and you enter a portal with one of the two mentioned Infusions, the damage boosts remain active.
Since this is some sort of bug and the developers most likely never intended this to happen, we are sure that it’ll get patched soon enough. So, you should take advantage of the trick for as long as you can before its imminent removal.
