Amber Spine is a new crop in Grow a Garden. It was introduced in the Pet Mutations Update. Let’s find out how to get it.

The Grow a Garden developers have released the new update called the Pet Mutations Update. The latest update sees a host of new content for the fans. It includes new pets and crops. In this article, we will be discussing the new Amber Spine Crop. It is a multi-harvest and mythical-tier crop. Let’s find out how you can obtain it in Grow a Garden.
Grow a Garden Amber Spine Guide
The Amber Spine can be obtained via crafting. This means that you cannot directly purchase it from the Seed Shop. Let’s check what you’ll need to craft this crop:
- 1x Cactus Seed (purchasable at the Seed Shop for 15,000 Sheckles)
- 1x Pumpkin Crop (grown from a Pumpkin Seed, purchasable at the Seed Shop for 3,000 Sheckles)
- 1x Horsetail Crop (obtainable from events, Seed Packs, or specific merchants like the Honey Merchant)
- 650,000 Sheckles
How To Craft
Visit the Crafting station in the game, specifically at the seed crafting station near the Isaac NPC. Select the Amber Spine Seed recipe from the “Select Recipe” menu. Ensure you’re holding the correct items (e.g., the seed or crop itself, not a different item, to avoid the “That is not a required item for crafting” error).
Submit the materials and wait 30 minutes for crafting to complete, or pay 39 Robux to skip the timer. After 30 minutes, you can collect your seed by pressing “E.”
Alternative Methods
You can, of course, directly purchase it with Robux for 625 Robux. This involves real money, so be cautious. Another method is to use your pets. You can use the following pets:
- Red Fox: If another player on your server is growing an Amber Spine and you have a Red Fox pet, there’s a chance every 10 minutes (at Level 1) that the Red Fox will steal an Amber Spine Seed for you.
- Raccoon: The Raccoon pet can duplicate a random fruit from another player’s garden. If a player has an Amber Spine, there’s a chance to get its fruit.
