Learn about all the new weapon attachments in Warzone and Black Ops 6 Season 5, and how you can unlock them in-game for free.
Call of Duty has introduced two new weapon attachments in Warzone and Black Ops 6 Season 5. They are the 9MM PM Skull Splitter and the PPSh-41 Helical Magazine. Both attachments alter how the base variants of their respective weapons perform in-game. This allows players to wield them in ways that weren’t possible earlier, thus breathing new life into them.
Needless to say, you can unlock them for free as long as you put in the time and effort. So, without any further ado, let us take a look at the new attachments in Season 5 of Warzone and Black Ops 6.
Brief Overview of All New Attachments in Warzone and Black Ops 6 Season 5
9MM PM Skull Splitter (Launch)
As the name would suggest, the 9MM PM Skill Splitter is for the 9MM PM Pistol (Secondary). This new attachment essentially transforms the Handgun into a mobile Marksman Rifle. It increases the damage output and range drastically, allowing you to easily take out targets at a distance. Furthermore, it improves the headshot multiplier, dealing more damage per bullet to the head. But it isn’t without cons. To compensate for the high damage output, the rate of fire has been reduced.
Nevertheless, it remains a strong attachment for the 9MM PM, especially if you intend to equip it as your Secondary Weapon.
PPSh-41 Helical Magazine (In-Season)
The Helical Magazine for the PPSh-41 is a Drum Magazine for the SMG. This closely resembles the PP-919. It drastically increases the bullet count and allows you to rain down fire on your targets without needing to reload. However, there is a cooldown mechanism that prevents you from firing continuously. As you fire the SMG in full-auto mode, heat will build up, jamming the magazine. You must let it cool down before you can shoot again.
That said, we don’t know exactly how many bullets this Drum Magazine can hold at a time. Details about this attachment are scarce at the moment, but more can be expected to arrive later in-season.
How To Unlock All New Attachments in Warzone and Black Ops 6 Season 5
Here’s how you can unlock these new attachments in Warzone and Black Ops 6 Season 5:
- 9MM PM Skull Splitter: It can be unlocked via Page 7 of the Season 5 Battle Pass.
- PPSh-41 Helical Magazine: It can be unlocked by completing challenges in an upcoming in-game event. At the moment, we don’t exactly know which in-game event will feature this attachment. However, it is speculated to arrive as a reward in the ’90s Action Heroes event.
That just covers about everything that you need to know about all the new attachments in Season 5 of Warzone and Black Ops 6. Do note that once the season concludes, you will still be able to unlock them via the Armory. However, it will be a much more tedious task if you go down that route. Hence, players are urged to unlock them before the season ends.
