In this extensive guide, we’ll go through how you can complete the Trickster’s Shrine quest in Titan Quest 2.

In Titan Quest 2, you have the main story missions, side quests, and mini quests. This last category of quests is particularly interesting, where you might often find a random unique item. The game doesn’t really tell you how to use these items, leaving you in the dark. However, if you can somehow figure out what purpose the item serves, you might be able to claim valuable rewards.
A prime example of this is the Trickster’s Shrine quest in Titan Quest 2. You can only start this quest by finding and using an item called the Caduceus.
How To Find and Use the Caduceus
You will find this item, which is a staff, inside a bandit camp. It’s located in the Southern Flooded Farmland region of the map, just northeast of Pyrgos. Fortunately, the bandit camp itself isn’t too difficult to clear, as there aren’t that many enemies inside. Once you’ve cleared the camp, search around, and you should find Caduceus easily.
With it in your possession, head to the Shrieking Shrine. This location is further north from the bandit camp where you found the item. Finally, after reaching the spot, simply place the Caduceus staff inside the pedestal at the center of this shrine. Doing so will immediately trigger the Trickster’s Shrine quest in Titan Quest 2.

How To Complete the Trickster’s Shrine Quest in Titan Quest 2

The quest starts off by tasking you to find out which beast Hermes slayed first, according to legend. You can find the answer to that question in a scroll right next to the shrine’s pedestal. As per the scroll, the beast Hermes slayed was a Turtle. So, now you’ll have to head out from this location in search of a turtle. Proceed south from the shrine to spot a turtle. However, don’t attack or kill it. Instead, simply get its attention.
Your goal is to lead it back to the shrine without killing it. When the turtle is within the shrine grounds, it will start to glow. This is a signal that you can finally kill it. Once you kill the turtle, the quest will end and you will receive a certain amount of gold as a reward. You can see the gold drop from the central pedestal, so don’t miss out on it.
