You get S Rank, or any other high rank in Ninja Gaiden Ragebound, by completing the levels fast with high kill streaks. To be clear, the game does not explicitly state so, but in our experience, we’ve hit S Rank when we met these requirements.
With that said, Ninja Gaiden Ragebound is a difficult game. It could take you hours of gameplay to reach an S Rank. To bypass this, the game gives you certain amulets that raise your rank automatically but put you at some sort of disadvantage as a tradeoff. For instance, the Scarcity amulet is one that increases your rank by one but removes all health orbs from the level.
