The Anime Last Stand Update 64 is live as of August 7, 2025. The anime-inspired tower defense game is known for getting bi-weekly updates, with the devs adding several new units, evos, trials, and more. Update 64 is inspired by Hunter X Hunter and brings a new Legends Stage, a new evolution, and four brand-new limited units, which you can only get during the event.

Everything New Added To Anime Last Stand With Update 64
Overview
Before we get into the details of everything the devs added in Update 64, here is an overview:

New Hunter x Hunter Units and Evo
As mentioned, Update 64 is themed around the popular Hunter X Hunter franchise. To that end, several new units inspired by the anime/manga are live in Anime Last Stand. Here is a list of the six new units:
- Phantom Boss
- Kil
- Chain Specialist
- Hosoko
- Need Assassin
- Speed Hero
We also got six new evolutions:
- Phantom Boss (Thief)
- Kon (Final)
- Kil (Godspeed)
- Chain Specialist (Revenger)
- Hosoko (Gum)
- Needle Assassin (Manipulator)
- Speed Hero (Shockwave)
Players have to play the new Legends Stage and the Hero Event to get some of these new units and evolutions.

New Event Skins
Update 64 adds two new skins:
- Zuffy (Summer God)
- Hero Hunter (Typhoon)
New Story + Legends Stage
The update adds the new NYC Rooftap map, where you can get the following drops:
- Phantom Boss
- Chain Specialist
- Scarlet Eye
- Shovel
- Yo-Yo
- Nen Vow
New Hunter Event
As the Hunter X Hunter-inspired update, the latest Anime Last Stand patch brings a new Hunter Event. Here is a breakdown of everything new:
- 3 New Hunter Ranks: You can attain these new ranks by completing the new Hunter Missions and defeating the Boss Challenge.
- You earn the following items by attaining new Hunter Ranks:
- Dusk Pearl
- Pearl
- Technique Shard
- Mythic Spirit Shard
- 20 New Hunter Missions
- 3 New Boss Challenges featuring the new map Auction Hall. You can unlock these units and items by completing the new Boss Challenges:
- Hosoko
- Needle Assassin
- The Joker
- Pinpoint Needles
- Hunter Battlepass

New Soul + Infinite Rework
Update 64 reworks the Soul and Infinite systems in Anime Last Stand, adding two new Ultimate Souls. You can now spend Soul Materials to reroll soul stats on units. Here is a breakdown of the new system:
- High-rarity souls now have passives
- You can unlock Soul Passives by upgrading them to max
- Souls require Element and subtypes
- New soul recipes
