In this guide, we’ll help you understand how you can begin and complete the Stone Poet quest in Titan Quest 2.

In Titan Quest 2, you will have the opportunity to help out NPCs or complete side quests, aside from just following through on the main campaign. Known as World Quests, these optional missions reward you with a host of valuable things, such as XP, gold, skill points, or even powerful items. So, whenever you find one, make sure to see it through to its conclusion.
However, not all of these quests trigger when speaking with an NPC. A prime example of this is the Stone Poet quest in Titan Quest 2. In the following article, we’ll offer guidance on how you can trigger this quest and then complete it.
How To Start the Stone Poet Quest in Titan Quest 2
The quest begins automatically when you head towards the Erana Ruins location. When you approach the location, a mysterious voice will call out to you. If you follow that voice, it will eventually lead you to a statue of a Hippokampos. You can then speak with the statue and listen to a poem that it recites.
However, keep in mind that interacting with the statue will lead to a challenging battle immediately after its poem ends. You should be around level 17 or 18 when taking on this particular quest. If you’re at a lower level than this, defeating the enemies during the mission might prove to be tricky.

How To Complete the Stone Poet Quest in Titan Quest 2

As soon as the Hippokampos statue is done with its poem, a bunch of King Crabs will spawn and a battle will ensue. All of these are level 16 King Crabs, and they attack much like their open-world counterparts do. Some of them will close in and strike you with melee attacks, while others will maintain a distance and unleash water-based range attacks. If you’re at a higher level than them, their attacks won’t do too much damage, and you can easily eliminate them before it gets to a tricky point.
Since there’s a bunch of them grouped together, we suggest using AoE attacks if you have any. As soon as you kill all of the summoned King Crabs, the Hippokampos will spring to life. This is a much tougher battle that requires you to have significant elemental resistance to protect yourself against its lightning and water-based attacks. It also unleashes an AoE strike frequently that you need to dodge. If the attacks get too overwhelming for you, you should return after leveling up a couple of times.
We suggest that you be at least level 18 for this fight, although being slightly overleveled never hurts. After you kill the Hippokampos, the quest concludes. You will receive 1x Active Point and 6,910 XP as quest completion rewards. You can use the former item to unlock an active skill or ability within your Mastery trees.
