When the chase starts, you’ll run through outdoor paths, dodging obstacles and following clues to find the exit. It’s darker than normal, so it’s harder to see hazards. You’ll need to avoid:
- Snare Traps – Spiky plants that stop you if you step on them
- Tall Grass – Slows you down or can trigger other entities
- Obstacles – Logs, fences, and rocks you have to jump over or get around
Eyestalk Chase Survival Strategy
- When the chase begins, head straight for the lit pathway. Ignore side paths or dark areas unless the route is blocked, and always follow the lights.
- Try to keep to the center of the trail and avoid grassy edges or reddish-brown floor patches where traps often spawn; they will slow you down, and the eyestalk will catch you.
- Look for arrows, glowing markers, bent branches, or lanterns pointing toward the correct path, and always keep your camera centered for quick turns.
- You need to jump and vault over logs and fences, and crawl under the broken walls. If the path splits, pick the side with lights and markers.
- The chase ends with the Groundskeeper cutting the Eyestalk into 2 pieces; he takes one, and you can pick the other and leave.

What Happens if You’re Caught?
If Eyestalk catches you, the run ends immediately. You’ll have to start over unless you planted a Lotus Flower, which lets you respawn there.
