The elusive Strange Gem might be elusive to find, and even more confusing to use after you find it in Peak.
The multiplayer mountain climbing game PEAK has just come out with a new update, titled the MESA. This update brings with it a whole new host of features, including new badges, new items, new mechanics, and more. The main attraction is, of course, the MESA biome. This biome will replace the standard Alpine biome for the first week. After this, maps will randomly rotate between the two.
Among the many items present in the MESA update, one of the returning items is the mysterious Strange Gem. Here is everything you need to know about how to get and use the Strange Gem in PEAK.

How To Get the Strange Gem in PEAK
The Strange Gem has come back to PEAK with the MESA update, and it remains just as mysterious as ever. If you wish to acquire this Strange Gem, then be prepared. Although it is simple to find, the path there is quite challenging.
This is because the Strange Gem is located at the summit of the mountain, the titular ‘peak’. Thus, finding the gem is simple, as you do not have to go out of your way and can simply play the game as normal. But scaling the mountain is challenging enough on its own.
Once you reach the top of the mountain, search around to find a statue hidden near the back of the peak. This statue will be holding the Strange Gem. Once you find it, you can simply walk up to it and pick it up.

What Does the Strange Gem Do in PEAK
As of right now, the Strange Gem has no in-game function. You can toss it, hold it, or do anything else with it, and nothing will happen. If there is some hidden function to the Strange Gem, then it has not yet been discovered. For now, the Strange Gem serves as little more than a commemorative piece or a souvenir.
Perhaps a new function will be added to the Gem in the future. Or perhaps the gem is simply a placeholder for some other item. Regardless, for now, all we can do is wait and see what time has in store.
