The world of Titan Quest 2 is far removed from the glorious years when the Greek gods would usher in prosperity. Now, it’s all miserable, and the people are barely holding onto life. Seemingly, everything is out to kill them, and taking on the world quests only further explores how miserable everything has become.

The Burial Rites quest is one such world quest that shows you how miserable everything is. Taking place in a graveyard, the Burial Rites quest taps into the past of Pyrgos and its glory days. The quest sends you on an errand to honor the heroes of Pyrgos, but quickly devolves into a nightmare. This quest encapsulates the saying “never meet your heroes.”

You begin the Burial Rites quest in Titan Quest 2 by heading into the graveyard west of The Enclave. Once you reach the gates, you’ll find an elderly man arguing with a young lady. Talk to the man, and he’ll tell you that someone named Nepheli has gone into the graveyard alone. There are tons of skeletons in there, and the area is dangerous for her. He requests that you go help her.

Accept the old man’s request and enter Pyrgos Graveyard. Kill the skeletons in your path and make your way to the marked area. Here, you will find Nephele standing before the lower graveyard gate. She declares that the heroes of Pyrgos are buried there, and requests you to take incense to their graves.

Enter the lower graveyard and light up the braziers across all the interactable graves. When you do so, you will summon the spirits of those buried inside. Defeat them and put them to rest, before finally making your way to Aristomenes in the Graveyard Tomb.

Meeting Aristomenes will kick off a boss fight. He summons a lot of skeletons and punishes you with a spinning attack if you get close. Your best bet to beating him is to use ranged attacks. Beat him and put him to rest to complete the quest.
