Completing these quests is beneficial not only for earning rewards and loot but also for gaining insights about the world. Cages in the Dark is one such side quest, where you will help a worried villager rescue his sister and other villagers captured by Ichthians. This is a heavy combat-focused quest, requiring you to clear a cave filled with dangerous Ichthians. Since you will encounter a swarm of enemies inside the cave, it is recommended to equip yourself with strong gear. Entering the Fiends’ Hollow
You can initiate the quest by talking to Itys at the Pyrgos Outskirts. He asks for your help to rescue his little sister, Timandra, along with fellow villagers. Ichthian, fish-like creatures, captured them and kept them as prisoners inside the cave.
From Itys’ location, follow the path west, and you will find a cave entrance to the north. This leads you to the Fiends’ Hollow cave.
Rescuing the Prisoners
Inside the Fiends’ Hollow cave, you will encounter a large number of Ichthian forces. Once you clear the enemies, release the two sets of prisoners in the eastern and western sections of the cave. Once you release the second set of prisoners, including Timandra, the Brazier puzzle becomes available. It is an optional task, where you need to light braziers in a specific order to open a mysterious door inside Fiends’ Hollow.
After freeing all prisoners, the quest will update, tasking you with ensuring their safe escape.
Making Sure the Prisoners Escaped Safely
Use the entry point of the cave to return to Pyrgos Outskirts. Clear the area and head back to Itys to confirm the villagers’ safe return. You will find all the rescued villagers regrouped there. Interact with Timandra to conclude the quest.
