Everything you need to know about Everdark Equilibrious Beast in Elden Ring Nightreign, and whether it’s an unfair boss or not.

With every new Everdark Sovereign Nightlord, FromSoftware seems to get a polarized reaction from the fans and souls-like community, in general. While most players loved Everdark Adel and Fulghor, almost unanimously, the same cannot be said for the bosses that followed them. And now with the release of Everdark Equilibrious Beast, fans are once again divided. While the boss is a spectacle and a worthy challenge for those who are accustomed to the game’s systems, it’s also incredibly difficult to understand and counter. Much like the regular Libra, the Everdark Sovereign version of the boss is very much a “gimmick” boss fight.
However, due to how the boss has been designed, some fans are quick to label Everdark Libra “unfair” and “unfun.” But is Everdark Equilibrious really an unfair boss fight? Let’s find out in this article.
Why Everdark Equilibrious Beast in Elden Ring Nightreign Feels Unfair?

Everdark Equilibrious Beast is a tough boss, perhaps more so than any of the previous Nightlords. While you can still defeat Libra with a well-optimized Relic loadout and a bit of RNG luck, it’s far from a cakewalk, even in solo mode. The biggest issue with Libra is his tendency to “clutter” the battlefield with Condemned NPCs. In his second phase, Libra summons the Condemned, who are mirror images of you and your allies. While these NPCs don’t have that much HP, they can deal a ton of damage. Also, if you try to focus on Libra alone, ignoring the NPCs, it’ll only end up buffing the boss.
As such, it’s understandable why some players might find Everdark Libra a tad unfair. Dealing with a single boss that has a huge health bar is fine. However, if said boss is accompanied by constantly spawning hostile NPCs (adds), it becomes a rather frustrating encounter. But does that make Everdark Libra unfair? In our opinion, it doesn’t.
Why Everdark Libra Isn’t An Unfair Boss?
While yes, you can easily get overwhelmed by the summing gimmick, there are also ways to counter this easily. If you’re playing solo, you won’t have much trouble defeating the Condemned since Libra usually becomes passive when a summon is active. In co-op, it’s a bit difficult, but not impossible. In co-op, you can split your team where some players can focus on the Condemned and others focus on Libra. You can also use Frenzy, Frost, Fire, or Holy weapons to trivialize this boss fight. Also, you can go in with three Raiders, equipped with Madness Resistance, and trounce Libra before it can cast all its curses.
