Despite the severe backlash from the community against the prohibition of the use of mods. BL2 remains an incredibly fun CO-OP shooter, loved by players for its grindability and the opportunity to try out new builds. As for performance, the game is quite old and scales incredibly well with any 6GB GPU you may have.

Medium to high, depending on performance and power headroom, the experience will be very good at 1080p resolution. And if there are frame rate inconsistencies, Lossless Scaling is there to take care of them.

2. Mafia II (2010)

Mafia: The Old Country has seen a lot of craze, and there is no doubt about how good the game is. But the one mentioned here is Mafia II, which takes place after the events of Mafia: The Old Country and Mafia 1. In terms of optimization, the game performs incredibly well on mobile GPUs, such as the HD 5700 series laptop GPUs. Assuming the current performance, we’re on modern 6 GB GPUs, so maxing out everything should be no problem.

3. Doom: Eternal

Both Doom: 2016 and Doom Eternal are ridiculously well-optimized games; high-ultra settings should be no problem with any of the 6GB VRAM GPUs you may have. Nightmare and Ultra Nightmare options specifically require 8GB or more of VRAM. As for the gameplay, it’s action-packed, with lots of enemies to slay, all at super-high framerate.

4. Borderlands 3

Borderlands 3 is also an exceptionally well-optimized game, which includes two D3D APIs, DX11 and DX12. DX 11 is specifically designed for older generation GPUs lacking asynchronous compute support, whereas DX12 benefits newer systems with good CPU multithreading and GPUs with asynchronous compute support. Fans also love the sequel to Borderlands 2, as the game improves BL2’s gameplay and offers better graphics, and continues the story.

5. Grand Theft Auto V: Legacy Edition

GTA 5 has now seen a new remastered edition. The game is now significantly heavier than before, but it’s optimized enough for modern 6GB VRAM GPUs to run smoothly. For the best experience, consider playing the legacy edition with medium to high settings at 1080p desktop resolution.

Verdict

All of the titles mentioned will run nicely with 6GB VRAM GPUs and provide a satisfying gaming experience. Staying within the 6GB VRAM limit, considering your in-game settings are reasonable and desktop resolution is 1080p or lower, you won’t encounter any performance issues.
