The RTX 5060 TI comes in two flavors, 8GB and 16GB; both cards are the same in terms of compute performance, the only difference is the VRAM. If you keep the 8GB model under VRAM limits, then there will be no performance difference, but if you try over-ambitious settings (16GB VRAM), then expect titles to become unplayable. That said, below are a few optimized titles that go easy on the VRAM, best fit for RTX 5060 Ti, 8GB, and 16GB.

1. Days Gone (2019)

With either of your RTX 5060 Ti’s 8GB or 16GB, you can easily max out this game at 1080p and play without much trouble. The only catch is that if you’re aiming for 1440p, then on the 8GB model, you’ll need to turn down textures to medium to compensate. That said, the overall experience on both GPUs will be the same at 1080p, as the 16GB model can easily do 1440p.

2. Metro Exodus (2019)

Metro Exodus and the Enhanced Edition were both highly enjoyable on the RTX 5060 Ti. The game performs equally when you dial in medium settings on both at 1080p. The differences become apparent when you increase the resolution to 1440p; it’s at this point that the 8GB model runs out of frame buffer, leading to performance loss.

3. Battlefield 6

Battlefield 6 is a highly optimized title, and with the Open Beta currently going on, you can easily play the game with either of your RTX 5060 Ti’s. If you play competitively, i.e., a mix of low and medium settings, both models will perform similarly, and you won’t run out of VRAM, even at 1080p or 1440p.

4. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (2019)

After numerous updates, bug fixes, and performance optimizations, Fallen Order is now easily playable and highly enjoyable, even with high settings at 1080p on both the RTX 5060 Ti. For 1440p, the 16GB model is the more desirable choice here, as 8GB isn’t enough to fit the game’s requirements.

5. Middle-Earth: Shadow of War

Shadow of War is an extremely optimized open-world action RPG game, which you can fully max out on both the 8GB and 16GB models at 1440p, and enjoy high FPS gameplay. It’s a bit old, but going by how it looks, it still challenges modern titles. The particles, the textures, the ambience, everything is a balance.

Verdict

All of the games mentioned here will run flawlessly on the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB and 16GB. Technically, you can run modern titles too, such as Mafia: The Old Country, Last of Us Part 2, and more, but there will be a significant settings discrepancy, as the 8GB VRAM buffer is too little for modern AAA titles. For esports and casual gameplay, such as DOTA 2, Valorant, and Rematch, you are good with either model.
