The Steelback is the newest free car that you can unlock in A Dusty Trip. Inspired by the Dodge Ram SRT10, this car is unlike the Dustbox, Cuboid, and Novalux, which we used to unlock using the scrap points; instead, you will have to complete a special quest, which you will get from an NPC named Zee Dee. This quest requires you to gather CDs, solve a password puzzle, and more. It’s a bit more complex than just looking for scraps, but the car is surely a flashy reward once it gets added to your garage.

Where To Start the Steelback Quest in A Dusty Trip
To begin the quest:
- Travel about 4,500 meters into the desert until you reach the storage unit building.
- Before you can start, you must clear out all the mutants surrounding the building.
- Once it’s safe, head inside and talk to Zee Dee, the NPC who gives you the Steelback quest.
How To Collect All 5 CDs
Zee Dee’s quest requires you to collect five CDs and insert them into the CD player inside the storage unit. Here’s where you’ll find them:
- On top of the table.
- On a box stacked in two layers.
- On top of another box.
- On the LPG bulk tank.
- Outside the CD player room, on the right side.
Important: Before inserting CDs, clean them with the wiper tool. If you try to insert dirty CDs, the quest will not progress.
After all CDs are cleaned and inserted, talk to Zee Dee again.

Solving the Password Puzzle
Once the CDs are in place, Zee Dee will give you a randomized password.
- You’ll need to follow the voice cues to input the correct numbers.
- Example: In one run, the password was 8863, but yours will be different.
- If you enter it wrong, just talk to Zee Dee again to hear the password repeated.
When you enter the correct password, the crate will unlock, revealing the golden CD. Insert it into the Golden CD player to complete the quest. Then, talk to Zee Dee one last time to receive the free car. The Steelback will be automatically stored in your garage, which you can browse as soon as the quest ends.

But then again, you are getting a car for free, which makes it totally worth it.
