Champions Meets are PvP tournament events in Umamusume: Pretty Derby, with players progressing through multiple rounds to earn bountiful rewards in a 3v3v3 race format. The first Champions Meet event is the Taurus Cup, which features a Medium race track. It allows players to enlist a team of three veteran Umas to compete against other players’ teams for higher rankings and prizes. Following the Taurus Cup, the next Champions Meet event will be the Gemini Cup.

The Gemini Cup is a Champions Meet event with a Long distance race. It is significantly tougher to train for compared to the Taurus Cup, owing to its distance and Legacy requirements. Here are the details of the race and its conditions:

  • Racecourse: Kyoto
  • Surface: Turf
  • Length: 3200m (Long)
  • Direction: Right (Clockwise)
  • Season: Spring
  • Surface Condition: Firm
  • Weather: Sunny

The Most Difficult Champions Meet

The Gemini Cup will be the most difficult Champions Meet event for a long time to come. This is primarily because of its long race distance of 3200m. The distance requires a maxed-out Stamina stat along with at least one rare Stamina skill like ‘Swinging Maestro’ to meet the HP requirements.

While maxing out Stamina, players will also have to focus on training Speed as much as possible. The last spurt of the race is only 533m, so a high Power stat will also be required to reach top speed faster.

With all three main stats essentially needing to be maxed out, clever strategies, skill combinations, and team compositions have less importance. F2P (Free-to-Play) trainers will have an uphill battle to create the perfect Legacies, as a maxed-out Support Card deck may not be in the cards for them by then.

However, the ludicrously high stat recommendations only apply to hyper-competitive players seeking to place among the top rank holders. Casual and F2P players can settle for placing lower in the Graded League and still reap ample rewards.

When Will the Gemini Cup Take Place in Umamusume: Pretty Derby?

The dates for the Gemini Cup Champions Meet aren’t confirmed yet for the Global Version. But, if we are to extrapolate them based on the Japanese Server’s schedule, the Gemini Cup will take place exactly one month after the Taurus Cup, from September 17 to September 27, 2025
