Blessings in Abyssus is one of the core mechanics of the game. These are special elemental modifiers that can improve your weapon or ability. They are necessary, as it is nearly impossible to clear the game without upgrading your weapons. You can find these special upgrades in various Blessing Altars scattered across various levels.
They are tied to an aspect that grows in power as you pick up more of the same type of blessings throughout your run. You can mix and match these blessings based on your preferred playstyle. With that said, here is a list of all the blessing types in Abyssus and how they work in the game.

What Are Blessings in Abyssus?
Blessings offers a wide list of modifiers that can improve your weapon’s efficiency. You will want to choose the right blessings that fit your preferred playstyle. These blessings are tied to an aspect that is considered an elemental type in the game. They offer effects like hemorrhage, increased damage received, AoE damage, and more.
You can only have up to three aspects active at a time. The bonuses from an aspect increase as you acquire more blessings tied to it. There are three types of Blessings that you can acquire:
Minor Blessings
There are a total of 10 minor blessings for each aspect in Abyssus. You get three of these blessings immediately once you acquire an aspect for the first time on your run. The three are added to either your Primary, Secondary, or Ability.
Special Blessings
The Special Blessings appear after collecting enough blessings from the same aspect. They grant more powerful effects than the minor ones. You can’t find these blessings in the logbook, so you can only check them out while playing the game. The first three blessings you receive from an aspect do not count towards the progress.
God Blessings
God Blessings give out the strongest effects in the game. You cannot acquire God Blessings by normal means. You acquire them through the Upgrade Kit charms or Upgrade Altars. They offer twice the value of regular blessings with an additional +10 meters to the overall range of any effects.

Types of Aspects in Abyssus

| Fortune | Gain more gold and gain buffs based on total gold in inventory. |
| Ocean | Summons tentacles that can deal damage or apply debuffs to targets. |
| Frost | Applies crowd control effects like freezing or slowing targets. |
| Lightning | Allows attacks to deal chain damage. |
| Fire | Burns targets and deals damage over time. |
| Wind | Your attacks deal AoE damage. |
| Night | Applies debuffs that increase damage received by targets. |
| Spirit | Summons spirits that can deal massive damage to targets when conditions are met. |
| Blood | Inflicts Hemorrhage and deals damage based on your max health. |
| Defense | Creates a Barrier that can absorb damage. |
