Still, if you’re going from co-op play to playing solo, you will experience a significant difficulty spike.

Solo Play in Abyssus: Tips and Tricks
The developers have confirmed that the game features dynamic difficulty, based on your party size. So, while playing solo, you won’t face off against the same number of enemies as you will while tackling the game in four-player co-op. Even so, you might have a tough time during the initial hours of your solo run. Here are a few tips that can help.
Keep Moving
Abyssus is all about fast-paced action, so you’ll need to be quick on your feet if you want to get through a run on your own. You can jump, double jump, and dash to get out of the way of attacking enemies. Mastering your timing of these movements can allow you to escape much of the damage that enemies deal.
Use Your Special As Frequently As Possible
At the start of the game, your special attack involves lobbing a grenade at enemies. We suggest using this as liberally as possible. There isn’t a finite number of grenades in your kitty. Instead, every time you use the move, there’s a cooldown before you can use it again. So, since there isn’t any logic to withholding this attack, make sure you unleash the explosives on enemies frequently. It can enable you to thin the herd and take down a group of foes much faster while playing solo.

Commit To One Specific Build
Make sure you stick to one specific build during one run. To do this, keep a mental note of the initial abilities and upgrades you’re picking. Make sure to buff those same stats or weapons even when you progress. For instance, if you’re buffing up your secondary fire using Blessings in the game, keep investing in your secondary fire with subsequent Blessings too.
Consider mixing and matching abilities only when doing so maximizes your damage output or evolves your damage type to a better one. For instance, if you already have Fire buffs, don’t mix those with Blessings that enable freezing enemies. Instead, choose buffs that would actually enhance the burning effects.
