PEAK currently lacks official support for macOS. Here are some methods you can use to play PEAK on a Mac device.

PEAK player count is currently at an all-time high with over 170k active players on Steam after the Mesa update. If you are a macOS user, there are a couple of methods you can use to run PEAK on your device. Note that some of the options below are paid subscriptions, as they offer far better stability than free alternatives. That said, here’s how you can play PEAK using third-party apps on macOS.
Methods of Playing PEAK on MacOS
Whiskey

Whiskey is a free third-party app you can download to run PEAK on your device. However, this application is not stable, and users often face various difficulties such as slow downloading or crashes in different in-game regions. Unfortunately, Whiskey is no longer supported by its developer, which means the app isn’t receiving any updates or fixes. The only reason to use Whiskey over the other two methods is that it is free.
To install Whiskey, visit this website and click on Download Latest to install the most recent version of the app. From there, check for compatibility and run Steam to play PEAK. Note that you can also add mods through the app for a better gameplay experience, although doing so may increase the risk of crashes.
Crossover

Crossover is a more stable alternative to Whiskey, but it comes with a $34 annual fee. The app offers a free 14-day trial, allowing you to see how well PEAK runs on your device. Since the game isn’t very graphically demanding, it is possible to achieve over 100 fps on maximum settings.
The only downside of using Crossover is that you won’t be able to host games yourself. Using the app allows you to either play offline or join your friend who is on Steam. If you use Crossover and have added Steam, make sure to use D3DMetal and MSync under Advanced Settings for optimal gameplay. Here’s a link to their official site.
Cloud Gaming

If you want to play PEAK without the hassle of local applications, you can choose cloud gaming services. Cloud gaming only requires you to have a good internet connection. You play the game on remote servers, which is then streamed on your device. Note that there is a slight delay, but you can play on 4K resolution with a stable 100+ FPS. Here are some things you should remember if you choose cloud gaming:
- Almost all decent services are paid and require you to pay a monthly or annual subscription.
- You need a good internet connection to minimize delays.
- You won’t be able to use mods, as the game isn’t locally downloaded on your device.
PEAK is still in the early stages of release, which means the developers are likely to focus on bug fixes and major content updates before releasing the game on a completely new platform. In other words, do not expect an official launch of PEAK on Mac anytime soon.
