With the multitude of things you can do in Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War Definitive Edition, is collecting trophies one of them?

Trophies and achievements have always been one of the motivating factors for players to progress through a game. Developers can add any type of mission, collectible, or easter eggs as challenges to acquire these trophies. This would have the player engage in discovering and completing these extra objectives. Keeping that in mind, Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War did not have any type of achievement systems back then. The New Warhammer Dawn of War Definitive Edition, in a similar fashion, will not have a trophy or achievement system on Steam.
In this article, we will talk about why Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War Definitive Edition does not have trophies.
Why Are Their No Trophies in Dawn of War Definitive Edition?

The original Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War first came out back in 2004. This was a time when trophies as a concept did not exist across any platform, be it PlayStation, Xbox, or Steam. Steam introduced the achievement system in 2007. This, however, proved too late a date for Relic and THQ to patch the system in because the game was developed in an older system.
Dawn of War Definitive Edition is a direct remaster of the original Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War. This game uses the same engines and assets as the original game. Integrating the achievement system for the remastered game would require immense additional work, such as rewriting programs and testing. This would all be to ensure the game would have minimal issues at launch.
Due to this, the game decided to stick to its roots and be the product that fans fell in love with in the first place.
