Despite being only in Early Access, Titan Quest 2 has an impressive amount of variety when it comes to builds. The variety can be almost daunting, especially if you’re a player diving into the ARPG genre for the first time. Overwhelmed, you may have picked Warfare Mastery as your first, only to find out an abundance of skills on offer, each with its own modifications.

The Heavy Attack is one of the earliest skills you can pick up for the Warfare class, and it is easily one of the best, too. The modifications only help improve its damage potential, but with so many modifications to pick from, it can be a little difficult to decide which one is the best. Well, that’s exactly what our guide is here to help you with.

Second Hit

The Second Hit modifier adds a second hit to your Heavy Attack. Originally, the Heavy Attack animation sees you swinging your weapon down and smashing the ground. With the Second Hit, the smashing animation will be followed by an upward swing and lift, which will essentially double the damage the Heavy Attack deals. This double hit combo allows you to finish off most enemies with ease, making the Heavy Attack more potent.

Staggering Force

The Staggering Force is a modifier that adds 15 percent more damage to your Heavy Attack, while also improving its chances to stun. This makes the Heavy Attack even more deadly, and if you manage to stun your enemy, you can leave them exposed to even more hits. In addition to this, you can also stack up Staggering Force up to three times, totaling up to a 45 percent increase in damage.

Wind Up

If you’re really looking to make your build more of a tank, you can also pair up Staggering Force with Wind Up. This allows you to increase your damage by 15 percent. However, this comes at the cost of your attacking speed being reduced by 5 percent. Since you can stack this up to three times, you can total the extra damage to 45 percent, which is a lot for only a 15 percent speed penalty.
