Titan Quest 2 is a game that starts off fairly easy, but quickly throws all of its mechanics at you shortly after. The whole thing is overwhelming, and this is made worse when the game keeps throwing larger and larger mobs of enemies at you. Dealing with these mobs is no joke, and you need the right set of skills to deal with them.

The Earthquake skill is one Earth Mastery skill that excels at dealing with mobs. This skill, much like its name may suggest, sees you summoning an earthquake and absolutely demolishing enemies within a short radius. If that’s not enough, you can use modifications to modify the skill and change its properties.

As you open the skills modification tree, you’ll feel overwhelmed once again with decision paralysis. There are a few modifications to pick from, but our guide is here to make that task easy.

Aftershock

The first modification we recommend picking up for the Earthquake skill is the Aftershock modification. This skill adds an aftershock effect to the skill, sending out a wave right after the immediate earthquake portion of the skill. If you didn’t finish enemies off with the initial earthquake, the aftershock wave will finish the job for you.

Fast Channel

While using the Earthquake skill, the first thing you’ll realise is that you’re vulnerable. You’re standing in the middle, charging the ground like Goku about to go Super Saiyan, having no means to defend yourself. If you’re really low on health, enemies can swarm you during the charge and kill you. The Fast Channel modification reduces the risk of that by improving the charge speed by 8 percent. Stack this up three times for a 24 percent faster speed.

Heavy Impact

The Heavy Impact modification improves the damage potential of the Earthquake skill by increasing the damage by 7 percent per Overwhelm. Each time you attack enemies with a basic skill, you gain Overwhelm. Once you max out the Overwhelm bar, you can then use skills such as Heavy Impact to dish out extra damage.
