As mentioned, Mythirl is a Mythic ore. So, it will be quite hard to get. Getting ores in Prospecting is based on luck and RNG after all. You can boost this by getting a good pan, such as the Forstbite Pan, and crafting good equipment. Here is a breakdown of Mythril ore stats as of the Snowy Mountain Update.

Mythril Quests and Crafting Recipes in Prospecting
Mythril Ring
One of the first quests you can pick up in the new Snowy Mountain Area is from the Blacksmith’s Apprentice NPC. The only thing he asks you to get is a Mythril ore, and gives you the blueprint for the Mythril Ring in exchange. After that, you can craft the Mythril Ring at the Blacksmith stations in Prospecting with these ingredients:
- 2 Tourmaline
- 2 Cinnabar
- 1 Starshine
- 1 Mythril
The Mythril Ring is one of the best ring items in the game. Here are its stats:

- Dig Speed: 20-40%
- Shake Speed 20-40%
- Sell Boost: 5-24%
Cryogenic Preserver
If you finish the quest given by the Builder NPC and repair the bridge, you will unlock the Cryogenic Preserver. Here is its crafting recipe:
- 5 Borealite
- 1 Frostshard
- 3 Aetherite
- 1 Mythril
This is an end-game item in Prospecting that gives you massive amounts of Luck at the cost of Shake Speed. Here are its stats:
- Luck: 100-250
- Shake Strength: 10-40
- Shake Speed: -40%- -20%
- Sell Boost: 0-50%
