The Fortune Mutation is a limited-time mutation that significantly boosts the value of crops by applying a 50x multiplier to their selling price. It gives crops a distinctive golden metallic shine with shimmering golden particles and a fortune-themed visual effect, symbolizing wealth and prosperity.
How To Get the Fortune Mutation
The Golden Goose pet exclusively applies the Fortune Mutation, and players can only obtain it during the limited-time Beanstalk Event (August 16-23, 2025). Here’s how you can obtain it:
- Get Sprout Eggs: Available in the Beanstalk Shop (unlocks after two beanstalk contributions) or for 50M Sheckles at Goliath’s Goods during the Beanstalk Event.
- Hatch Golden Goose: Plant Sprout Eggs for a 1% chance to get the Golden Goose pet.
- Golden Egg Plant: The Golden Goose lays a Golden Egg plant every 300-788 seconds (roughly 5-13 minutes). This Golden Egg plant starts with the Fortune Mutation pre-applied.
- Spread Mutation: When you harvest and sell a Golden Egg, there’s a chance the Fortune Mutation will transfer to a random crop in your garden. This unique transfer mechanic makes it the only mutation in the game that can spread this way.
- Optimize: Place Golden Goose near high-value crops and stay online to maximize mutation transfers.
