In this guide, we’ll explain how you can find the Hidden Brazier in Abyssus. It’s key to unlocking one of the game’s achievements.
Abyssus is a highly enjoyable roguelite experience, regardless of whether you play with friends or solo. It’s a game where you’ll need to improve your character over time to face the tougher opponents that lie ahead. While Soul Fragments are the obvious route to building your character’s abilities, completing Challenges is also critical. As you tackle each Challenge, you’ll receive rewards in the form of unique items or gameplay mechanics. You cannot get the same items or effects from anywhere else.
Unfortunately, most of these challenges have very vague clues, which might leave new players scratching their heads. For instance, the Lightbringer challenges ask you to light the Hidden Brazier. There’s no indication as to where that brazier might be or how you can light it up. In the following guide, we’ll help you locate the hidden Brazier in Abyssus.

Finding the Hidden Brazier in Abyssus
You can find the Hidden Brazier just before the first boss fight in the game. Follow the instructions below to reach this exact location.
- Step 1: Begin your run by Ascending from the Hub area. This first area has four levels.
- Step 2: Proceed through the levels by eliminating enemies and then enter the blue portals to get to the next level.
- Step 3: After entering the final portal, you’ll reach the final level where you can see a doorway with a red barrier. Don’t cross the barrier yet.
- Step 4: Instead, face the red barrier wall and then turn around. You’ll spot a lit brazier to your right and an unlit broken brazier to your left. This is the Hidden Brazier.
- Step 5: Walk close to this unlit brazier and press E to interact with it. Doing so lights up the brazier with a blue gem.
As soon as you light the Hidden Brazier in this manner, you will complete the Lightbringer challenge/achievement.
Reward for Lighting the Hidden Brazier in Abyssus
Completing the Lightbringer challenge will unlock a rare charm called Ms. Boom. When equipped, this charm causes all projectiles to have a 50% chance of exploding on strike. It’s a great charm to have, especially when you’re doing a solo Bow run. You can also experiment with the charm on other builds. However, one thing to keep in mind is that charms don’t get added to your inventory permanently. Instead, achieving the Lightbringer challenge will only add the Ms. Boom charm to the pool table of the bosses that spawn randomly.
