Additional Projectiles
The first modification you need to pick up right away is the Additional Projectiles modification. This modification adds more lightning bolts to your attack, allowing you to cover a wider area and deal greater damage. You can level this modification three times, with each upgrade adding +1 projectile to your attack. If you do not want to struggle with mobs later on, get this.
Weapon Attack
If you’re someone who has been thorough with quests and loot hunting, chances are you have a powerful spear or ranged weapon in your hand. If that is the case, then Weapon Attack is a modification you must absolutely pick up. With this modification, you can convert the Lightning Bolt skill to deal 120% of your weapon damage as Lightning Damage. This can kill most enemies with ease, especially if you have powerful gear.

Lightning Strikes
If you still feel the damage from the skill is not enough, Lightning Strikes is what you need. This modification adds random lightning strikes to the attack, dealing extra damage to enemies. You have a 10 percent chance to strike enemies with lightning, but you can easily increase this by leveling up the modification.
