Everything you need to know about the best Ironeye build for Everdark Tricephalos in Elden Ring Nightreign.

Everdark Sovereign Nightlords are meant to be the most harrowing challenge that Elden Ring Nightreign has to offer, even for seasoned souls-like veterans. And nothing exemplifies the fact better than the newly added Everdark Tricephalos. It’s a Nightlord that offers both spectacle and challenge in equal measure. However, at the same time, it’s also incredibly well-balanced.
Although Gladius deals a ton of damage with its attacks and also the AOE combos, it’s also a boss that can be trivialized with the right set of passives. Even with Ironeye, a relatively squishy Nightfarer, you can easily defeat Gladius, albeit with the right set of Relics.
Here’s a comprehensive guide on the best Ironeye build for Everdark Tricephalos in Elden Ring Nightreign.
Overview of the Best Ironeye Build for Everdark Tricephalos in Elden Ring Nightreign

Similar to vanilla Tricephalos, the Everdark variant is extremely weak to Holy damage, at least in the first phase. As such, you would want to bring Holy Attack Up and Holy on starting armament Relics for Iroenye. Furthermore, most of Gladius, Beast of Night’s attacks are affinity-based. As such, we recommend using affinity damage negation passives.
For this build, we have focused primarily on survivability, with Dark Night of Fathom (grants Vigor +5 and passive HP regeneration) and Holy damage, with Edge of Order. Additionally, we recommend using Relics with damage negation passives and Fire damage negation up.
Do note that Edge of Order is mandatory for this boss fight, as it not only grants Holy to your starting Bow, but also increases Bow damage and Thrusting Counterattacks.

Tips To Use the Best Ironeye Build Against Everdark Tricephalos

Here are some tips that will help you use the Ironeye build efficiently against Everdark Tricephalos:
- The first phase of Everdark Gladius is fairly straightforward. It’s the same split Gladius form from the vanilla version of the boss, albeit with more poise. You can equip up to 15% additional stance-break on Ironeye to stagger Gladius for a riposte, but only in the first phase.
- In the second phase, staggering Gladius isn’t particularly easy, unless you’re using a Greatbow. Instead, focus on applying Holy damage stacks on the boss. Additionally, make sure to bring a Bow with Rain of Arrows for the second phase.
- Most of Gladius’s attacks in the second phase have an AOE follow-up. As such, you want to keep an additional Mark available to dodge out of tricky situations. Additionally, we highly recommend picking up the Less Likely to Be Targeted passive.
- For the massive slam AOE, we recommend using the Mark to dodge. While you can dodge roll through the attack unscathed, the timing for it is very tight, with the penalty for missing the dodge being quite high.
- Additionally, you can also bring a Shield and block the AOE, for a bit of chip damage. However, with Ironeye, we found the Mark to be more useful for dodging the AOEs.
Additional Notes
If you’re using this build in co-op, we highly recommend going for the Crater Shifting Earth. Otherwise, the Rotted Woods is a great option. The buff gained from the Rotted Woods grants you additional HP and affinity resistance, which comes in incredibly handy against Gladius.
