Griffin Pet Abilities in Grow a Garden
The Griffin has a unique passive ability that activates every 15 minutes:
- It flaps its wings to summon a Cyclone.
- Fruits hit by the Cyclone have a 10% chance to gain the Cyclonic mutation, multiplying their value by 50x.
- Pets hit by the Cyclone have their cooldowns reduced by 60–66 seconds, letting them use their powers more often.
This combination makes the Griffin both a mutation powerhouse and a support pet, making it one of the most desirable pets in the game.
How To Get the Griffin Pet in Grow a Garden
You can only get the Griffin Pet from the Skyroot Chest, which is available in three ways:
- Crafting: At the Beanstalk Event Crafting Station (top of the Beanstalk). Crafting takes 30 minutes and requires:
- 2 Beanstalk Crops
- 1 Sprout Seed Pack
- 1 Sprout Egg
- 7,500,000 Sheckles
- Friendship Shop: After unlocking Goliath’s Friendship Shop by giving him cooked food. The Skyroot Chest costs 1.5 million Sheckles.
- Exotic Skyroot Chest: Available in the in-game shop for 199 Robux, with different drop rates.

Griffin Pet Drop Chances
- Normal Skyroot Chest: ~1% chance to drop the Griffin Pet.
- Exotic Skyroot Chest: ~1% chance, but the Griffin is guaranteed on the 100th chest.
