Call of Duty Warzone Season 5 release is just around the corner. Discover the release date and the contents of the update.
With Battlefield 6’s release being announced for October 2025, Activision is also gearing up with its Call of Duty franchise. We expect Black Ops 7 to hit our devices in November 2025. However, Warzone is also taking its game up a notch with Warzone Season 5 Reloaded.

Call of Duty Warzone Season 5 Reloaded Tentative Release Date
Call of Duty Warzone Season 5 Reloaded is expected to launch on Thursday, September 4, 2025. However, this might be pushed to September 11 due to the extended season timeline and the upcoming Black Ops 7 Beta. This is a massive mid-season update and promises fresh content, new weapons, and limited-time.
What Is New in Call of Duty Warzone?
Gravemark .357 Revolver
Fans are mostly awaiting the Gravemark .357 Revolver, Season 5 Reloaded, a single-action eight-shooter with high damage and impressive range. It lacks in the fire rate and reload speed departments, but it contains plenty of scope for attachments, e.g., Rapid Fire, Recoil Springs, or Akimbo, to make up for it. You will unlock the new “Hell Ride” event, which challenges you to “save the day from a ticking time bomb.”
Deadline LTM
Deadline is the new limited-time mode. Here, besides survival, you must rack up points by eliminating enemies (both AI and human), completing contracts, looting, and spending cash at Buy Stations. Lives are unlimited, like a Death Match. However, with each circle collapse, the team with the lowest score faces elimination. Additionally, scores reset with every new circle.
Mid-Season Events
Season 5 Reloaded introduces two major events:
- Hell Ride: This event is tied directly to the Gravemark .357 unlock. It features objective-based and time-sensitive missions.
- Atomic Block Party: A celebration of the classic Nuketown map.
Gameplay Updates and Meta Shifts
Reloaded updates usually bring a round of weapon balancing, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements. Usually, underperforming weapons receive buffs, and dominant meta picks are nerfed. This brings a welcome shift in the meta. Moreover, UI enhancements, smoother inventory management, and clearer killfeed indicators are part of the update.
Season 6 and Black Ops 7
Season 5 Reloaded will be the final chapter of Warzone before the launch of Black Ops 7 on November 14, 2025. You can expect crossover content, new operators, and narrative tie-ins in Season 6. Moreover, you should anticipate double XP weekends, themed bundles, and community events leading up to the transition.
