Developed by Evil Empire and published by Ubisoft, The Rogue Prince of Persia is a 2D action platformer game. After being in early access for over a year, the game has officially launched on consoles and PC. This naturally raises the question: Is The Rogue Prince of Persia coming to Nintendo Switch? The answer is yes. Although The Rogue Prince of Persia is not available for Nintendo Switch at full launch, Ubisoft has confirmed that the game will be released for Nintendo Switch in the future. In addition to the Nintendo Switch, a Nintendo Switch 2 version is also planned to arrive later this year.
The Rogue Prince of Persia is the latest installment in Ubisoft’s iconic franchise, Prince of Persia. Although sharing the core themes of the franchise, the modern title blends the metroidvania and roguelite elements. Unlock over 100 unique weapons and medallions, adapt to the acrobatic combat, and save the Persian Kingdom. Thanks to unique modifiers, meta-progression, and procedurally generated levels, every run feels unique and challenging.

Which Platforms Can You Play The Rogue Prince of Persia?
The Rogue Prince of Persia is launched on all major platforms on August 20, 2025, including PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Fortunately, the roguelite title is also available in PS Plus and Xbox Game Pass subscriptions. Players with an active Game Pass subscription can get access to the game on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud, and PC. Meanwhile, PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers can play it through the Game Catalog. PC players can experience the game through Ubisoft Connect, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
The Rogue Prince of Persia standard edition is available at $29.99 across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Additionally, the Prince of Persia New Era Bundle, priced at $54.99, includes both Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and The Rogue Prince of Persia.
