Discover the best support card loadouts for the Gemini Cup in Umamusume Pretty Derby, from essential Stamina to preferable Speed cards.

Following the Taurus Cup, the next Champion Meeting event challenging trainers is the Gemini Cup, a Long race demanding high Stamina. Choosing which support cards to include in trainees’ loadouts is the most crucial part of building a powerful veteran for the race. While Speed and Stamina support cards have the highest priority, equipping an optimal combination will achieve favorable stat distribution and provide access to powerful skills.

Loadouts
The main training goal for Gemini Cup is to reach 1200 Stamina with one good rare (gold) Stamina recovery skill like ‘Swinging Maestro.’ The loadout depends on the number of MLB cards you have for both Speed and Stamina. You should ideally have or borrow a 3LB or MLB SSR Super Creek and include it in every loadout.
With MLB Stamina Support Cards
- 4 Speed
- 2 Stamina
With MLB Speed Support Cards
- 3 Speed
- 3 Stamina
Without MLB Support Cards
- 4 Speed
- 2 Stamina
- Borrowed MLB Super Creek
- As many rare and normal Stamina recovery skills as possible. Also invest in Stamina passives like ‘Standard Distance’ and ‘Kyoto Racecourse.’
In all cases, use Legacies to inherit maximum Power Sparks. You will increase Power further by training Speed and through events.
Here are the best support cards for each type. Note that MLB SR cards are preferred over 1LB or 2LB SSR cards unless they provide a rare Stamina skill. Cards are listed in descending order of priority, and bolded support cards are especially valuable for the race.

Stamina
- SSR Super Creek
- SSR Mejiro McQueen
- SSR Gold Ship (End Closer)
- SSR Rice Shower (Debuffer)
- SR Manhattan Cafe
SSR Super Creek and SSR Mejiro McQueen are almost must-haves for the Gemini Cup. The former is for ‘Swinging Maestro’ and the latter for ‘Cooldown,’ both of which are effective rare Stamina recovery skills. Mejiro McQueen and Rice Shower cards both have the ‘Kyoto Racecourse’ passive skill to provide +40 Stamina for a small SP investment. Additionally, SSR Mejiro McQueen can be uncapped at the Club Point Exchange, making her invaluable for F2P trainers.
Speed
- SSR Kitasan Black
- SSR Special Week (Pace Chaser)
- SSR Nishino Flower
- SR Eishin Flash
- SR Narita Taishin
Kitasan Black is the most important Speed card for the Gemini Cup as it unlocks ‘Professor of Curvature,’ which is a valuable skill for any running style. In addition, she offers useful skill hints for ‘Long Corners,’ ‘Corner Adept,’ ‘Corner Recovery,’ and ‘Straightaway Recovery.’ SSR Special Week is important for Pace Chasers to learn ‘Gourmand,’ which recovers stamina mid-race, placing it on the level of ‘Swinging Maestro.’ Nishino Flower provides ‘Standard Distance’ and ‘Beeline Burst.’
Power
- SSR Vodka
- SSR Winning Ticket
- SR Biwa Hayahide
For the Gemini Cup, Power support cards are of secondary importance following Speed and Stamina cards. If you have MLB (Max Limit Break) Speed and Stamina support cards, you can afford to use a single Power card for its skills. Vodka provides rare recovery, a ‘Breath of Fresh Air,’ Winning Ticket unlocks ‘In Body and Mind,’ and Biwa Hayahide has ‘Pressure’ and ‘Inside Scoop.’
Wit
- SSR Yukino Bijin
- SSR Fine Motion (Pace Chaser)
Just as with Power support cards, you can equip one Wit in the loadout if Speed and Stamina are taken care of. This helps provide extra energy during the career and can unlock valuable rare skills. Yukino Bijin unlocks ‘No Stopping Me!,’ which can increase acceleration in the last spurt, especially for Late Surgers and End Closers. Fine Motion’s ‘Speed Star’ is a Pace Chaser exclusive speed skill that increases speed on the final corner.
