You can play Hollow Knight Silksong on any of your Nintendo Switches on its release day. Here’s how to do so through the Nintendo Store.
Team Cherry has confirmed the release date for Hollow Knight Silksong, which will be available on nearly every platform, including Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Therefore, Hollow Knight Silksong is not a Switch 2 exclusive title. How To Play Hollow Knight Silksong on Both Nintendo Switch Models
As mentioned before, Hollow Knight Silksong is going to be released for both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. Moreover, the game will initially be launched as a digital edition only. In other words, Team Cherry has not yet confirmed a physical edition of the game. Currently, there isn’t a price tag on the game, but here are the steps you must follow to play Silksong on release on any of your Nintendo Switch:
- Select the Nintendo Store icon on your Switch device’s main menu. It is a yellow/orange bag icon.
- Select the account you are going to purchase the game on.
- Browse for Hollow Knight Silksong in the search bar or in recent releases.
- Purchase the game using the available funds on your account. You can add funds using gift cards or by using a credit card.
- Wait for the game to download.
- Exit the Nintendo Store and enjoy Hollow Knight Silksong on your Switch or Switch 2.

Hollow Knight Silksong Kickstarter Code Redeem
If you have previously backed the Kickstarter project for Silksong, then the developers are reaching out to supporters through their registered email. Therefore, if you wish to play Silksong on your Nintendo Switch, you can opt for a code for your device and redeem it on your Switch device. By doing so, you won’t have to purchase the game at launch. Note that sending out codes can take time, as stated by the developers. Therefore, the codes can roll out late for some players.
