How To Get Plasteel in Rimworld
The following are some of the ways in which you can get your hands on some Plasteel in the game.
- You can mine the material from compacted Plasteel deposits. Basically, look for the blue deposits around the mine spots. These indicate Plasteel deposits. Simply mining them should give you a bit of the material.
- Alternatively, you can wait for a trader to spawn and buy Plasteel from them.
- The game might give you Plasteel as rewards for completing certain quests.

How To Use Plasteel in Rimworld
As we said earlier, Plasteel is an important crafting component if you’re making high-tech items. For instance, you will need 10x Plasteel to craft 1x Advanced Component, which is material you’ll need while making many high-tech buildings and recipes. In the early game stages, you will require 50x Plasteel to make the multi-analyzer. The crafted item will help you to research additional spacer-level projects.
During the late-game stages, you will need Plasteel to craft important upgrades, such as the Marine Armor or the Marine Helmet. If you own the Odyssey DLC for the game, you will also require Plasteel to make Vacsuits.
