The Deluxe Pack ex is the newest pack added to Pokemon TCG Pocket, however, many players are wondering if it is worth opening.
The newest A4b pack for Pokemon TCG Pocket dropped on September 29, 2025, and was titled Deluxe Pack ex. This newest pack has made waves in the community for many reasons.
This pack is different from the other packs available in the game (till now), since it will only be available until October 30, 2025. Therefore, players will need to carefully manage their pack hourglasses to ensure they get the maximum value at minimum cost. The major question in the minds of the community is simple. Should you open the Deluxe Pack ex or not? Well, the answer depends on who you ask. If you are asking from a pure battle perspective, the answer should be no. The pack doesn’t add any new cards (effect wise) for you to obtain.
All of the cards are either the same from previous packs or reprints with different artworks. Therefore, the main value this pack contains is mostly in the hands of collectors. This is due to two main reasons.

Yes, you should open this pack, at least for some time. Although the pack does not contain any new card,s you will mostly still want to open this pack just for a few simple reasons. Firstly, you are guaranteed an ex card in every pack. This is going to be a stellar way to stock up on previous ex cards you might have missed.
Simultaneously, you can convert the excess ex cards into Shinedust if not needed. Therefore, it’s a win-win situation. Moreover, the pack also contains several new artwork which most players will not want to miss out on the chance of getting.
Therefore, you should open this pack after you attain a decent number of ex cards or get the cards you wanted. This will also be a good way to stock up on ex cards to trade for other ex cards in the future.
