Overload in Black Ops 7 is a brand-new Multiplayer mode. It is a PvP objective-based mode where the entire game revolves around an Overload Device. The main objective? Carry the Overload Device to the enemy Overload Zones to earn points for your team. Although that might sound quite simple, there are certain rules and conditions that one needs to be aware of before diving in.

So, without any further ado, let’s take a look at Overload in Black Ops 7 and explore everything that you need to know about the mode before getting started.

How To Play Overload in Black Ops 7 Multiplayer

Overload in Black Ops 7 features two teams of six players each. As discussed earlier, players must secure the Overload Device and escort it to the Overload Zones of the enemy team. With the basics of this Multiplayer mode out of the way, let’s explore the intricacies it brings:

Overload Gameplay Mechanics

Here’s what the mode Overload in Black Ops 7 entails:

  • Each team of six players is assigned one half of the map.
  • Overload Device spawns at the center of the map. After the initial spawn, it may change positions to one of the three spawn locations on the map.
  • In case a player with the Overload Device goes out of the map’s playable area, it’ll spawn in one of those three locations.
  • Players must carry the Overload Device to one of the two Overload Zones of the enemy. Doing so earns the team 1 point.
  • Once a team reaches 4 points, the sides change.

Now that we’ve discussed what the mode entails, let’s also quickly discuss the rules and win conditions.

Rules and Win Conditions

The following are all the rules and the win conditions for Overload:

  • Only one player can carry the Overload Device at a time, and the carrier’s position will be revealed for all to see.
  • A half ends when one team scores 4 points or the timer runs out.
  • First team to score 8 points wins the match.
  • In case the match timer runs out before either team reaches 8 points, the Sudden Death timer will instantly start.
  • Sudden Death kicks off a two-minute timer with respawns disabled. The first team to score a point wins the match.
