For the GTA Online Halloween Haunts update, players can now add zombies to their Survival custom maps using the Creator tool. This tool lets you set up your own custom missions, and for this spooky season, you can make your own undead-infested map. It’s a good way to test your creativity and fit your creation to the Halloween event.

How To Add Zombies in the GTA Online Survival Creator
Follow these step-by-step instructions on how you can add zombies to your custom survival job in the GTA Online Survival Creator tool:
Build the Foundation for Your Custom Job
Before anything else, you must make a functional map for your Survival job:
- Choose Placement
- Pick Place Trigger
- Position the trigger wherever you’d like it to activate
- Choose Place Lobby Camera
- Set the camera in your desired spot
- Select Play Area Bounds
- Adjust and position the boundaries of your play zone as you see fit
- Choose Player Spawn Points
- Place the player spawns in locations of your choice
- Choose Enemy Spawn Points
- Assign enemy spawn spots in the areas you prefer

Add Zombies As Enemies
Once you set up the basics, you can start adding zombies to the map. Here is how you can do it:
- Go to Survival Configuration
- Open the Wave Configuration menu
- Choose the wave range (1-10)
- Access Advanced Configuration
- Enter Squads Configuration
- Select from the available Squad Presets
- Pick which Wave Stage you want to modify (Primary, Secondary, or Tertiary)
- Assign the squad and heavy presets to Zombie Runner, Island Zombie Runner, Zombie Shambler, or Island Zombie Shambler
- Repeat these settings for every wave you want to include zombies
Make sure you test your map first. Play a few rounds to check if any adjustments are needed. Once you are satisfied with the result, you can publish it. After publishing your Survival job, other players can download it. If enough people enjoy it and give it a good rating, your creation may be featured in the next community series.
