Megabonk has a ton of characters in its roster, each with their own perks and gimmicks you can build around, but Vlad is one of the tougher ones to crack. Vlad is a vampire who doesn’t deal much damage, which makes him a not-so-exciting pick. He also takes damage easily, which further reduces his appeal. But looking at Vlad through these shallow lenses only does a disservice to the character.

Vlad has passives he can tap into that exponentially increase his survivability, making him one of the top characters in the game. If you’re intrigued by the character’s design and wish to use him, this guide will set you up with a powerful build.

The best weapon you can use when playing Vlad is his Blood Magic starter weapon. This weapon deals moderate damage, which is good enough, but where it really shines is with its passive HP boost. You gain a lot more HP when carrying this weapon, which improves the character’s survivability. This will help turn him into a tank akin to Sir Oofie. As a secondary weapon, you can bring something like the Katana to slice through enemies. These two weapons are good enough to get you past the finish line.

Best Tomes for Vlad in Megabonk

As far as Tomes go, we recommend getting the XP Tome and the Quantity Tome. The XP Tome works perfectly with Vlad’s passive ability that grants him Lifesteal every time he levels up. This makes leveling up quickly an essential part of your build, making the XP Tome the best possible pick.

The next Tome you need to invest in is the Quantity Tome. This Tome will allow you to increase your projectile count, which will then help you strike enemies more often. This is crucial as swarms grow larger in the late game. You’ll be able to kill off enemies much more easily, making your time with Vlad much more enjoyable.
