Saddleback and Immortal Boneface are bosses that you can fight against in Borderlands 4. You should prepare accordingly and perhaps even bring someone with co-op to help you against this tough foe. This guide will cover the boss’ location, weaknesses and tips to defeat it, along with the rewards you can get.
Borderlands 4: Saddleback and Immortal Boneface Boss Location
This is a ripper drill site boss. This means that you can fight this optional boss as soon as you get to the location. Saddleback and Immortal Boneface can be found at the Old Scrape Ripper Drill Site.
The map location for the same will be marked in the image above. Apart from that, you can replay this boss as many times as you want using Moxxi’s Big Encore Machine. This is the method you will want to use in case you want to farm for its drop items.
How To Beat Saddleback and Immortal Boneface Boss in Borderlands 4
There are a few key points you should know before you attempt this boss fight:
- Firstly, Boneface is immortal (literally). However, this has a catch. This immortality only runs until Saddleback is alive.
- Therefore, your priority in this boss fight should be to take out Saddleback first. Boneface cannot be harmed until Saddleback is present.
- Shotguns or other weapons with splash damage work great here, since you don’t have to aim at Saddleback properly. Saddleback is quite massive too. So it is hard to miss in general.
- Try to use your jetpack to get to high ground. This gives you cover against the boss, and you can peek and fire and retreat to whittle down Saddleback.
- You will need to take care of Saddleback’s Shield before damaging Saddleback itself. Moreover, once Not-So-Immortal Boneface disembarks, you need to break its shield first as well. Ensure that you bring enough ammo to last the fight.
Saddleback and Immortal Boneface Legendary Drops and Rewards
You can get Lucian’s Flank and Hellwalker Legendary weapons from this boss. Apart from these, there’s also a chance of getting the War Paint repkit as well. If you don’t get the item you desire, just use Moxxi’s Encore machine to start a rematch.
