Cayo Perico Survival is a game mode in GTA Online where you survive hordes of zombies on the island. Each wave, you fight through the undead and collect supplies, holding out until you can escape El Rubio’s zombie-infested paradise.

Here is a list of all the different kinds of zombies you will encounter when playing the GTA Online Cayo Perico Survival Mode:
| Zombie Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Mage | A special kind of zombie surrounded by green poisonous smoke. It can spawn poison gas clouds on players using its staff. They don’t move much, making them easy targets. |
| DJ | Similar to Mages, DJs don’t move but instead play music. Their music slows players while speeding up zombies. When approached, they try to force players to dance, and if you get too close, they explode. |
| Possessed Animal | Zombies can appear as boars or panthers. Their attacks cause bleeding, which gradually reduces HP. |
| Explosive | These zombies spawn engulfed in blue mist and electric sparks, then rush players before exploding. They also explode upon death. |
| Conquistador | Armed with muskets, these zombies can only be killed with melee weapons. They’re especially difficult to deal with when protected by waves of undead. |
| Panther Trainer | A zombified version of Gustazo, El Rubio’s henchman, who was once thrown to the panthers. He spawns alongside zombie panthers and relentlessly chases players. |
| Armored | Covered in thick ballistic armor, these zombies are tough to bring down with guns but vulnerable to explosions. Some variants act as kamikazes, detonating on impact. |
| Splitter | This zombie appears with white smoke surrounding their body. They can split up to five times. Killing the original will also kill off the rest of the clones. |
Available for a Limited Time
The Cayo Perico Survival is currently available for a limited time in the GTA Online Halloween Haunts event. You can play this special job alongside the Ludendorff Cemetery Survival. This event rewards players with various cosmetics, including the Vinewood Undead Collection, which you can obtain by completing weekly challenges.
