Cryo Damage is one of the five elemental damage effects in Borderlands 4. Weapons with this elemental effect are among the rarer types to find, specific to the Pandora’s Moon location due to the forzone methane material required to fire them. These weapons are highly effective at slowing down enemies and can completely freeze them.

Cryo Damage Overview in Borderlands 4
The Cryo damage is especially effective when put up against general targets such as guardians. This is also a great weapon of choice to use against those pestering, flying enemies, as it freezes them and drops them to the ground. If their health is low to begin with, their fall will instantly cause them to shatter, killing them in the process.
