There are two reasons why this weapon shines a lot against any large groups. Firstly, the grenade homes in on your targets, so you can toss in the enemy’s general direction. Secondly, upon impact, it splits into three more grenades, which also home in on their targets and explode, splitting a second time into three more grenades.

Convergence

This is the best shotgun you will likely find in Borderlands 4. The main reason to use this weapon is due to its Legendary ability, Asymptomatic. If you fire Convergence, then the bullets ricochet once and hit enemies again, dealing double damage.

You will need to defeat the Bramblesong boss if you want to have a chance at acquiring this shotgun for your arsenal. However, this will be well worth the effort after you blast any enemy at close range.

Lucian’s Flank

The Legendary Lucian’s Flank is undoubtedly one of the options you can have in the long run. This weapon becomes really overpowered when paired with a crit-guaranteeing throwing knife. This is due to the Flank’s ability to refill two ammo every time you land a critical hit.

Essentially, every bullet you shoot results in a critical hit. With a decent aim, this ends up netting you an endless magazine, where you refill more ammo than you expend.

Wombo Combo

The Wombo Combo is extremely good due to the extra damage it deals through virtually no additional cost. This is from the Rip Rockets ability, which fires off rockets from the Underbarrel every time you fire five bullets. These extra rockets do not consume any additional resources, making them a free source of additional damage.
