Borderlands 4 has a total of 98 side missions that become marked on the map after progressing through the story or through exploration. However, seven side missions among these do not appear on the map and are thus hidden unless you get lucky or know exactly where to look. While they generally do not offer bountiful rewards, these side missions are valued for the quirky plots as well as helping players near 100% game completion.

Brew-Ha-Ha

To start Brew-Ha-Ha, speak with Ole Shammy in Shammy’s Shack, located in the Coastal Bonescape, The Fadefields. The quest involves helping Shammy brew some booze with colorful nuggies involved.

However, you have to complete the following side missions before Brew-Ha-Ha becomes available:

  • Hangover Helper
    • Quest Giver: Ole Shammy
  • Mob Justice
    • Quest Giver: The Boss

Breeding Daisies

If you head west from The Launchpad faction town and follow the stream of water to a lake, you’ll find a man named Mort being attacked by Threshers. After killing the Threshers, speak to Mort, and he will explain that he is fascinated with Threshers and is trying to breed them for his farm. Accept the quest to help the eccentric farmer in his peculiar mission.

Whack-a-Thresher

After completing Breeding Daisies, you can speak with Mort again at his farm for the Whack-a-Thresher mission. Mort’s farm is located just west of The Launchpad and south of the Kit Hole Order Silo. The short mission involves bullying Threshers to get them back to work.

Forgive Me

Far more cryptic and elaborate than it sounds, Forgive Me is a satirical mission that pokes fun at the storytelling style of Soulslike games. Accordingly, there is little to no guidance about where to start it and how to proceed.

To begin the mission, travel to Cuspid Climb in southeast Terminus Range and travel south along the river until you reach a waterfall pouring out of a giant monster’s skull. Head into the cave ahead and kill the Badass Psycho enemy inside to pick up the Desecrated Bolt.

You will then have to search for Zanzibart’s final resting place, which is also unmarked. It is well hidden in the northwest corner of Terminus Range, inside a cave reachable by using the grappling hook on a tall post near it. Head inside to hear a mind-boggling tale of epic proportions.

The Neverending Quarry

To start the mission, travel to the Ironwall Resolve Order Bunker at Preator’s Lecture and turn right before the stairs heading up to the bunker. You’ll enter an area with a red chest in the center. Open the chest and quickly dash back. The chest will explode, and The Neverending Quarry mission begins. A group of Rippers will appear nearby, and killing them will unlock two consecutive side missions in the chain.

A Quarry of Epic Proportions

Head to the Frantic Scrawl fast travel station and travel north up the tunnel system until you arrive at a lone vending machine. Interact with the vending machine and back away. The machine will explode, and Rippers will once again ambush you.

The Final Quarrel

Continue your adventure of opening booby trapped containers by traveling southwest from the Food Court Safehouse. Once in the area, take the north path until you reach a dead end with a dumpster. Open the dumpster and it will explode in short order. This time, the ambushing Rippers will be led by  Horatio. Eliminate them to complete the hidden mission chain.
