Borderlands 4 offers you tons of content to engage with. There are over 40 different bosses throughout the game in the form of main missions, side missions, or world types. Boss fights, though challenging, prove to be rewarding due to the XP you earn battling them as well as the legendary weapons they drop after you defeat them.

Boss Battles Overview in Borderlands 4
Some bosses could prove challenging. It is especially more frustrating when you manage to drain the health of the boss to a close minimum before ultimately falling to your demise. In such cases, you can make use of the ‘Second Wind’ feature. Successfully killing an enemy when in a downed state will earn you a ‘Second Wind.’ This will allow your character to return to battle while still at critical health but with a full shield.
In Borderlands 4, you will also have the opportunity to replay boss battles. This feature is enabled with the help of Moxxi’s Big Encore machine. With the help of this, you can take on any boss you would have previously defeated in battle. This is especially useful if you wish to farm a boss and earn as much XP as you can from them.
