Signs of an Anomaly in Digimon Story Time Stranger is the second introduction mission in the game. It plays after Adamas, which is the first main mission. The story continues from before, where you get saved by the mysterious girl in the subway system. Moreover, she seems to recognise you, but you don’t have any memories of meeting her. For now, your objective switches to reaching the top of the government building.

Digimon Story Time Stranger: Signs of an Anomaly Mission Walkthrough
Survive from MetalGraymon
After you escape from the giant Digimon, you get a short tutorial on how to heal and recuperate. Stand still in any safe location to auto-heal if you do not wish to use items. Exit the subway from the left and keep moving forward to enter the Giant Pit. Here, you have to fight the giant Digimon from before, who turns out to be MetalGreymon (Blue).
This is a gimmick boss fight where another Digimon comes in to help you, who deals most of the damage. All you have to do is keep healing your own Digimon so that it does not die. Moreover, you get healing items from the mysterious girl, so you won’t have to worry about death.
After the battle is over, the Knight-like Digimon goes away, and you can proceed to the government building. Climb out of the Giant Pit using the rubble to reach the entrance of the building.

Climb Up The Government Building
In this section of the Signs of an Anomaly mission, you get a short tutorial about catching Digimons by converting them. Many Digimons are roaming around in the lower level of the building, so this is the perfect place to catch and level up different creatures. After you are done exploring the place, head to the northeast corner of the map to reach an elevator that takes you to the upper area.
The upper area of the building has many powerful Digimon that can be obtained by conversion. Moreover, it is recommended not to challenge them, as your own Digimons won’t be as powerful at this early stage in the game. After you have explored, head to the western side of the map to the large corridor. However, trying to cross it triggers a cutscene that separates you from the mysterious girl.
After the cutscene, head to the northeast corner of the map to find Biyomon, a bird-like Digimon. You ask it to help you cross the broken corridor and reach the other building, but you end up falling into another hole. Fortunately, you can use the stairs to climb up and reach the top of the other building. Each floor features a simple layout, but it also contains powerful Digimons that you must fight through.
Near the top, the Operator gives you a final tutorial about Digivolution. Note that this is the final chance in this mission to level up or heal your Digimons.
Defeat Kuwagamon
Your final hurdle in the Signs of an Anomaly mission in Digimon Story Time Stranger is to defeat Kuwagamon. It is the first proper boss fight in the game where you are entirely on your own with your Digimons. Kuwagamon is a large Virus-type beetle-like Digimon with four hands. Moreover, it does not have a lot of health and primarily uses simple attacks to target your Digimons.
It is recommended to use any Vaccine-type Digimon in our party to deal extra damage to Kuwagamon. Moreover, ensure that all your Digimons are Level 10 or higher to increase your chances of winning this fight. You can also use healing items to heal a party member with low health. After you win the battle, the mission ends after a short cutscene.
