Enter the battle arena and defeat Horace in a boss fight in Borderlands 4 to get special legendary drop rewards.

Horace is one of the many boss battles you will face in Borderlands 4. This boss takes the battle off the ground, levitating away from any chance of melee strikes. Its main choice of weapon is flying projectiles, which it will shoot at you with at regular intervals. Periodically, Horace will also summon a flying particle, which will scatter and fly towards your direction. After defeating the boss, you will receive one of five different legendary drops among other items.
In this article, we will look at how to complete the Horace boss battle and the rewards you can expect from it.
Horace Boss Battle Location in Borderlands 4

To begin the battle, you will first need to travel to Horace’s Oversight, which you will find at Hungering Plain in the region of Fadefields. Horace’s battle will be part of the main quest ‘Down and Outbound’. After defeating the boss, you can also choose to repeat the mission and farm the legendary drops using Moxxi’s Big Encore Machine.
During the battle, make sure to keep at least one of the enemies on the ground alive. This will prove useful in case Horace gets the better of you. If you go down, you can kill the enemy and activate Second Wind to get a second chance at the battle.
Once the first phase of the battle comes to a close, Horace will descend to the ground and begin to hurl a scythe at you. You can easily dodge these by dashing to either side. You can also use Dash to avoid combos or ground shockwave attacks. To perform a dash, simply move your left stick in either direction and press ‘O’ or ‘B’ on your PlayStation or Xbox controllers, respectively. On PC, you can press W/A/S/D + ‘Shift’.
Finally, remember to keep a safe distance and use your surroundings, such as boxes or pillars, to defend yourself from incoming attacks.
