Battlefield 6 Campaign: Operation Gladius Mission 3 Walkthrough

Here’s how you can clear the Operation Gladius Mission in Battlefield 6, reunite with Gecko, and hunt down the Pax Commander.

Operation Gladius, the third mission in the Battlefield 6 campaign, showcases the terrifying forces of Pax Armada. You return to play as Sergeant Dylan Murphy, and you start on a hovercraft, fully armed to the teeth, ready for the battlefield.

Below is a walkthrough that provides a detailed overview of what’s to come. Spoiler alert: the British Lancer from the second mission is no more.

Operation Gladius – Assault The Beach

The mission opens with you in the gunner’s seat of a hovercraft, sailing through the shores of Gibraltar. However, enemy forces fiercely contest the landing. Your first task is to survive, then approach and secure the beach. On your way towards the beach, be sure to gun down the sea mines, or you’re history.

Upon reaching the shore, expect to be greeted by tanks and other heavily armored vehicles. Prepare yourself, as this fight will be intense. Once you have destroyed enemy armored vehicles, your job on the ground begins. The beach was a chaotic kill zone, now filled with destroyed vehicles and non-stop enemy fire coming from enemy bunkers. You must push forward, clearing out machine gun nests and AT-gunners to allow friendly troops to advance.

You will be required to defend the Marines against heavy casualties. In the meantime, your squad helps wounded soldiers from battling Pax forces. Upon helping a particular soldier, as the interaction unfolds, you will find him saying, “Just me,” as you had said to another soldier at the beginning.

After that, you must regroup with Carter and Gecko, who have just completed their objectives. With Dagger 1-3 united, you receive new orders to push into the city.

Operation Gladius – Reach City Hall

Your squad is tasked with escorting a friendly armored vehicle, callsign “Charlie 5,” to the city hall. This entire phase is filled with gunfire, destroying Anti-Tank Turrets, enemy troops, and in the process repairing the Charlie 5 vehicle. Once you complete this phase, the next step is to secure the Alleyways.

Charlie 5’s passage route soon became blocked, forcing Dagger squad to dismount and clear a path on foot. You must go through the narrow alley, where enemies hide, especially on the second floor, and spotting them is difficult. You have a limited life, so take care of your health. In the meantime, your squad finds an opening into the building that provides a clear view of the city hall square below. From this vantage point, the mission takes a dark turn.

From your overwatch position, you spot the capabilities of the Pax Armada, but you witness a grim scene. The Pax commander is holding McIntyre, a member of the British Lancer squad you (as Gecko) fought alongside in the previous mission, captive in the square below.

Before you plan for a rescue, the Pax commander executes McIntyre in cold blood. Raging all out, Murphy and others go in for an assault. Charlie 5 supports you and your squad. Push into the square to neutralize all Pax forces.

During the massive firefight, your primary target becomes hunting the commander responsible for McIntyre’s death. You must fight through waves of Pax soldiers to locate and eliminate him.

The mission concludes after you successfully secure the city hall square; however, the commander manages to escape. A cliffhanger better saved for future chapters.
